Colouring Between the Lines, 2024
Paper towel, Hand sanitizer, ink
This installation examines the tension between individuality and conformity through mass-produced materials. Inspired by the artist's personal struggle with these themes, the disarrayed, manipulated photos disrupt uniformity, symbolizing the challenge of preserving identity within societal expectations. By breaking these patterns, the piece invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences with conformity, discovering beauty within diversity and disorder, while reconsidering individuality in a world that often undervalues it.
