Dois Elles by Lilia Lustosa.
L’s are a common letter in my mom’s name. After spending 8 years writing her thesis and finally getting her Ph.D, she decided to focus on writing film critiques.
Not only does her first name have two L’s but so does her nickname - Lili, Liloca - and our last name Ellery. As such, the name “Dois Elles” was born, in English meaning Two L’s.
From then on this logo was born and her brand further developed.
The inspiration for this design was the L within the logo’s name - which at the same time allowed me to relate it to a frame on the camera when filming. The sketching process did not take as long since my mom had more or less an idea of what she wanted to do. From there it was just a matter of testing out different ways of using the L’s and then figuring out the typeface and colours.
